Joshua Ostroff

Joshua Ostroff is a seasoned transportation planning professional currently serving as the Director of Transportation Planning for the City of Newton since January 2023. With extensive experience in various leadership roles, Ostroff was the Interim Director and Partnerships Director at Transportation For Massachusetts from January 2014 to October 2022, advocating for equitable and sustainable transportation solutions. A former member and chair of the Natick Board of Selectmen from March 2006 to March 2016, Ostroff focused on strategic goals, economic development, and regional collaboration. Previous roles include Massachusetts Outreach Director for Transportation for America and LOCUS, President of the Massachusetts Selectmen's Association, and consultant for various organizations, including Virtual Media Resources and the Center on Alcohol Marketing and Youth. Ostroff holds a BA in English from Brandeis University, completed in 1980.
