Victoria Edwards

Victoria Edwards, MSW, currently serves as a Research Project Coordinator at the Cannabis Control Commission and holds the position of Law Student at the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association. With extensive experience in constituent services, community engagement, and social justice, Victoria has also been a Co-Founder of the Hempstead Alumni Association, aimed at supporting current students. Previous roles include Post Secondary Associate at LEAP for Education, Inc., and a NYS Senate Fellow, focusing on social services and child welfare. Victoria's educational background includes a Master’s in Social Work from Stony Brook University and ongoing studies in Legal Studies at Northeastern University School of Law. Additionally, Victoria has served on various committees, ensuring diversity and leadership development within the National Association of Social Workers.

Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association

Since 1973, the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association (MBLA) has provided a valuable network and visible presence for attorneys of color within the Massachusetts legal community. The MBLA is responsible for providing its membership with professional development and career advancement through training, continued education and mentorship programs. The MBLA also sponsors forums on current topics of interest to persons in the legal community, and seeks collaborations with other bar associations and professional organizations, particularly those interested in providing services to communities of color.
