Massachusetts General Hospital Psychiatry Academy
Emiliano Santarnecchi is a distinguished academic and researcher currently serving as faculty in the Mind Brain Behavior Interfaculty Program at Harvard University and as an Associate Professor of Radiology and Neurology at Harvard Medical School. Since February 2016, Santarnecchi has directed the Network Control Laboratory at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and is also the Director of the Precision Neuroscience and Neuromodulation Program at Massachusetts General Hospital. In addition to these roles, Santarnecchi is involved in several startups as a cofounder and scientific advisor at Sinaptica Therapeutics and Horizon Neuroscience. Santarnecchi's expertise encompasses brain stimulation, neuroimaging, and electrophysiology, with a strong foundation in cognitive and behavioral science earned through a Ph.D. from The Miller Institute and a Ph.D. in Translational Neurology from Università degli Studi di Siena.

The Massachusetts General Hospital Psychiatry Academy provides prominent postgraduate education for health care professionals, patients, caregivers and other stakeholders who value the highest standards of clinical care. Applying the faculty and resources of the Massachusetts General Hospital Department of Psychiatry, we work with clinicians, departments, governments, and other entities to improve the mental health of patients worldwide through innovative teaching methods, technology, educational research, and institution level consultation. Since its founding in 2005, the Psychiatry Academy has educated thousands of clinicians through comprehensive, sequential, iterative, interactive, and innovative educational programs.
