Melissa Abraham

Melissa Abraham, PhD, MSc, is a clinical psychologist with extensive experience in research and ethics consultation. Currently serving as Editor of the Ethics Column for the Harvard Review of Psychiatry since March 2021, Melissa also holds the position of Clinical Psychologist and Director of the Research Ethics Consultation Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital. In addition to roles at Massachusetts General Hospital, Melissa is a faculty member and Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School's Center for Bioethics. A licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in Boston and Concord, MA since July 2004, Melissa has also contributed significantly to medical ethics as Co-Director of the Capstone Program at Harvard Medical School Center for Bioethics and previously as Chairperson of the Institutional Review Board at Mass General Brigham. Melissa's academic background includes a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern University and an MSc in Epidemiology from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
