Massachusetts Land Trust Coalition
The Massachusetts Land Trust Coalition advances land conservation across Massachusetts by providing education, tools, networking, and advocacy for land trusts and their partners. Vision Statement The Massachusetts Land Trust Coalition envisions a robust and resilient mosaic of conserved open spaces that serves the diverse needs of people and wildlife across Massachusetts and is sustained by an effective and united land conservation community. What We Do We strengthen, connect, and unify over 140 land trusts that work across Massachusetts to protect farms and forests, conserve wildlife habitat, preserve water quality, buffer communities from impacts of climate change, and create parks and trails that provide healthy outdoor recreation opportunities. We build the capacity of the conservation community by organizing regular training and networking opportunities, including one of the nation's largest annual land conservation conferences. We are the voice of Massachusetts’ land trusts on policy issues, advocating for strong legislation and innovative funding at the state level. We facilitate innovative collaborations among land trusts and public and private partners to advance shared priorities.
