Innovation Leader at Massachusetts Medical Device Development Center (M2D2)

Richard Meiklejohn is currently the Innovation Leader at the Massachusetts Medical Device Development Center (M2D2). Prior to this, they were a Management Consultant with IXL Center - Center for Innovation, Excellence and Leadership, where they were responsible for leading a Suffolk University team to support a minority-owned business in its response to the economic challenges encountered through the covid-19 pandemic.

Before IXL, Richard was the Co-Founder of OOVIRT, where they led business development and strategy to create partnerships and manage product development. The company combined building data and innovative technology to allow organisations and their premises to be more accessible to anyone with additional needs whilst driving improvement in customer experience through each step of the customer journey.

Prior to this, Richard was the Managing Director of MAJR Group from June 2012 to June 2019.

Richard Meiklejohn has a Master of Business Administration from Suffolk University - Sawyer Business School, and their field is Business Intelligence. Richard also has a Bachelor of Land Economy from the University of Aberdeen, and their field is Surveying. Richard has a Certification from Rice University in Business Statistics and Analysis Specialization, and a Certification from the European Energy Centre (EEC) in Galileo Master Certificate - Energy Efficiency Expert. Richard also has a Certification from the RICS - Royal Institution for Chartered Surveyors in Commercial Surveyor, and a Certification from the Management Consulting Institute in Management Consulting Certification.

Richard Meiklejohn reports to Nathaniel Hafer, Co-Director. They are on a team with Steven Tello - Vice Provost for Graduate, Online & Professional Studies, Pamela McGuinness - Laboratory Manager, and David McManus - Associate Professor, Director of Atrial Fibrillation Treatment Program.
