Mark Wimmer

Mark Wimmer is a seasoned aviation analyst with extensive experience in meteorology and weather-related operations. Currently serving as a Senior Aviation Analyst at Massachusetts Port Authority since December 2016, Wimmer conducts comprehensive analyses of aircraft noise, flight tracks, and operational data while collaborating with various stakeholders. Prior roles include Meteorologist in Charge for the Aviation Forecasting Group at Weather Services International, where analysis of atmospheric data was critical for air operations, and Manager of Maxwell Air Force Base Weather Station, overseeing weather support operations. Wimmer's career in the United States Air Force included serving as Staff Weather Officer for multiple installations, leading weather support teams and providing strategic weather insights. Wimmer holds a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Penn State University, a Master's in Geographic Information Science and Technology from the University of Southern California, and has completed advanced studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
