Leah Contreras

Lead Anesthesia Technician at MSPCA-Angell

Leah Contreras, RVT, CVT has a diverse background in veterinary medicine, with experience dating back to 2011. Leah started as a Veterinary Technician at the Spay and Neuter Project of Los Angeles before moving on to become a Registered Veterinary Technician at the Animal Specialty & Emergency Center (ASEC). Leah then transitioned to Oregon State University as an Anesthesia Technician before taking on roles at MSPCA-Angell, where they currently serve as an Anesthesia Technician II and Lead Anesthesia Technician.

Leah Contreras, RVT, CVT completed a Veterinary Technology degree at Veterinary Allied in 2016 and pursued studies in Veterinary/Animal Health Technology/Technician and Veterinary Assistant at Los Angeles Pierce College from 2011 to 2013. Leah obtained their Registered Veterinary Technician certification from Veterinary Allied Staffing Education in September 2016, followed by certifications as a Certified Veterinary Technician from the Oregon Veterinary Medical Board in April 2020 and the Massachusetts Veterinary Technician Association in October 2020.
