Mary McGeown has provided executive leadership to MSPCC since 2012 and is responsible for MSPCC’s advocacy for policies, services, and organizational fund development and stakeholder support. Previously, Mary held the positions of Vice President for Programs and Communications Manager at MSPCC. In these roles Mary worked collaboratively with advocacy and professional organizations and state government, managed marketing, public relations and communications projects to promote fundraising, advocacy and programs. Prior to her work at MSPCC, Mary worked in various leadership roles in Massachusetts state government as Chief of Staff of the Executive Office of Health and Human Services, Chief of Staff of the Department of Youth Services, and Deputy Commissioner for the Department of Youth Services. Mary holds a B.S. in broadcast journalism from Boston University and co-chairs the Massachusetts Families and Children Requiring Assistance Advisory Board and the Boston Children’s Hospital Board Committee on Community Service.
