Erikk Hokenson

Deputy Chief of Staff at MassDevelopment

Erikk returned to MassDevelopment in 2022 as the Deputy Chief of Staff and supports the agency's strategic initiatives, such as the launch of its SSBCI programs, the implementation of the strategic plan, and overall organization excellence, to strengthen MassDevelopment's effectiveness as the state's development finance agency and land bank. Prior to his return to MassDevelopment, Erikk served as the Boston Harbor Regional Coordinator at the Massachusetts Office of Coastal Zone Management and as a waterfront planner at the Boston Planning & Development Agency, working on critical coastal issues such as port, harbor, and ocean planning, climate resilience and hazard mitigation, and environmental permitting. In his previous tenure at MassDevelopment, Erikk served as a project manager in the Real Estate Division, supporting the development of the Myles Standish Industrial Park Expansion, the continued growth of Devens, and multiple planning engagements across the Commonwealth. His private sector experience comprises work as a property manager for a Boston-based real estate investment and development firm. Erikk has a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland and a Master of Science in Urban Planning & Community Development from the University of Massachusetts at Boston.
