Japheth Stevens

Prior to joining MassDevelopment in January 2022, Japheth spent 16 years as an accountant working in both public and private entities. For the last eight years, he worked for the Government of The Virgin Islands and the British Virgin Islands Ports Authority, in the capacity of Project Accountant/Accounts Manager and Senior Accountant, Deputy Financial Controller/Financial Controller for the latter entity. He was also a part-time Accounting Lecturer at the local community college. Before relocating to the British Virgin Islands, he also worked in the Accounting & Finance Division of the University of Massachusetts Boston as an Operations Manager for over seven years. Japheth received a Bachelor of Science in Finance and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, and later a Master of Accounting degree from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
