Shane Melone

Shane joined MassDevelopment in June of 2015 and serves as the Director of DPW and Recreation. Shane and his team oversee the maintenance of roadways, and open space, the upkeep of the recreation fields, along with maintenance of municipal-owned buildings. Prior to joining MassDevelopment, Shane spent many years working in the trades where he gained much knowledge and experience that suits the everyday challenges and situations that come with managing a municipality. Shane holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Westfield State University and also holds numerous certifications from Bay State Roads, a UMASS extension program.
