Bruce Mendelsohn

Resource Development Coordinator at MassHire Central Region Workforce Board

Bruce Mendelsohn is the current Resource Development Coordinator at MassHire Central Region Workforce Board. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Communications for the Massachusetts Department of Youth Services from January 2018 to March 2019. In this role, they were responsible for developing and implementing communications strategies for the 850-employee state agency.

During their time at the Massachusetts Department of Youth Services, Bruce was successful in increasing Intranet content by 82% and expanding User Adoption by 485%. Bruce also created and generated multimedia content for social media sites, such as Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Flickr. In addition, they conceived and developed a branding campaign to recruit entry-level staff, which included video testimonials, “DYS Ambassador” program for college campuses, flyers, social media, etc.

Bruce Mendelsohn has a M.S.S.M. in Management and Organizational Behavior from the University of Southern California, a B.A. in Theirtory and German Studies from Vassar College, and certification in OSHA-10 hour Construction Safety from the US Department of Labor. Bruce also has certification in Fundamentals of Media Relations and Fundamentals of Social Media from Muck Rack, USA Rugby Level 200 Coach from USA Rugby, and Madd Dogg Spinning Instructor from Madd Dogg Athletics, Inc.
