Kate Schaeffer

Kate Schaeffer, MBA, has extensive experience in investment management and risk strategy, currently serving as the Head of Investment Management Strategy and Governance at MassMutual since June 2010. In this role, Kate supports the company's investment strategy and governance processes, ensuring effective decision-making and assessment of investment goals. Previous positions at MassMutual include Head of Risk Strategy, where Kate oversaw Enterprise Risk Management, and managing key operational integrations for significant acquisitions. Prior to MassMutual, Kate worked at CIGNA Healthcare in various accounting roles, following a rotational program in accounting development. Kate holds an MBA from the University of Hartford and a degree in Business Management with a focus on Finance from Saint Joseph College.
