Heather Leo-Sorkin has a diverse range of work experience. Heather started their career as a Public Relations intern at Sidney Frank Importing Company, Inc. in 2014, where they assisted with event planning, press kit development, and brand development. Additionally, during their time at Siena College, Heather held various roles including Marketing Intern for the School of Business, Co-Chair of the Ted Winnowski Student Conference in Business, Student Advisory Board Member, and Resident Assistant.

Heather Leo-Sorkin obtained their high school education from Brewster High School, where they completed their degree from 2009 to 2013. Heather then pursued higher education at Siena College from 2013 to 2017, earning a Bachelor's Degree with a major in Marketing. During their time at Siena College, they achieved an impressive GPA of 3.92 in their major. Additionally, Heather has obtained several certifications to further enhance their expertise. These include WSET- Level 2 in Spirits and WSET- Level 1 in Spirits from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, both obtained in November 2021 and December 2022, respectively. Heather also obtained the certification of Certified ANA Marketing Professional (CAMP) from the Association of National Advertisers in December 2020.
