Jose Galan

Jose Galan has over 25 years of experience in database administration and management, currently serving as Lead Oracle DBA at MasTec since May 2009. In this role, Jose evaluates and measures database performance using custom scripts and Oracle Enterprise Manager, while also handling backups, exports, clones, and recovery processes with RMAN and Data Guard. Prior experience includes working as an Oracle DBA at Apex Projects, where installation and upgrades of Oracle Databases for TERADATA Data Warehouse were performed, and as a Database Administrator at Pharmed Group, focusing on database performance evaluation and implementation of Oracle databases. Earlier in the career, Jose worked as a Computer Operator at Fedco, managing day-to-day system processes. Jose holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Construction from I.P.E Technical Institute.
