Danilo Simonelli

Danilo Simonelli serves as the Managing Director of Investments Portfolio Management at Mastercard Foundation Asset Management since October 2024, focusing on the long-term asset mix framework in collaboration with the investing team. Prior to this role, Danilo spent nearly two decades at Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, progressing from Senior Investment Analyst to Chief of Staff in the Office of the CIO, leading teams managing hedge fund portfolios and overseeing alternative investments. Danilo's earlier experience includes positions at JPMorgan, where responsibilities included roles from Analyst to Portfolio Manager. Danilo holds an MFE in Finance & Economics from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management and a CLEFIN in Economics & Finance from Università Bocconi, with additional credentials from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
