Alan Douglas

Alan Douglas has extensive experience in security and technology roles, currently serving as a Manager at Mastercard since June 2022, specializing in Security Resolution Management and global investigations of Account Data Compromise and Fraud Disruption. Prior to this, Alan held the position of Detective Garda at An Garda Síochána from September 2005 to June 2022, and worked as a Senior Technical Consultant and Technical Project Manager at Mentec from 1998 to 2005, where responsibilities included systems analysis, design, and support. Additional roles include IT Manager at Aon and Field Service Engineer at Irish Time Computing. Alan holds a Master of Science in Forensic Computing and Cyber Crime Investigation from University College Dublin, a Postgraduate Diploma in Cybersecurity from the National College of Ireland, and a Bachelor of Arts in Policing from Garda College, complemented by a Diploma in Information Technology from Dublin City University.
