Alejandro Paz

Alejandro Paz is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in various sectors, currently serving as the Senior Counsel LFI Lead for Mexico at Mastercard since September 2018. Previously held prestigious positions including Senior Counsel for New Payments Platforms and Legal Counsel for Mexico and Central America. Prior to Mastercard, Alejandro Paz worked at the Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaciones as Director Normativo de la Coordinación General de Mejora Regulatoria. Alejandro Paz has also held significant roles within governmental agencies such as the Secretaría de Economía, Secretaría de Comunicaciones y Transportes, and the Procuraduría General de la República, along with experience in independent consulting. Academically, Alejandro Paz holds a Diplomado in Regulation, a Master's degree in International Relations and Law from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, and a law degree from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
