Athena Stacy

Athena Stacy is a Lead Data Scientist in Cyber and Intelligence at Mastercard, where they apply machine learning and analytics to enhance risk prevention in the financial sector. Previously, Athena served as a Senior Data Scientist at Mastercard and as a Postdoctoral Scholar at both UC Berkeley and NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, where they conducted numerical simulations to study star formation. They hold a PhD in Astronomy from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science in Physics/Astronomy from Rice University. Athena has extensive experience in scientific writing, communication, and mentoring undergraduate students in research projects.
