Derek Pillar MSc has extensive experience in cybersecurity and criminal investigation, currently serving as the Cyber & Physical Security Manager at Mastercard since April 2017, where expertise in intelligence center operations is applied. Prior to this role, Derek worked at the National Crime Agency from October 2013 to April 2017 as a Senior Officer in Tactical Partnerships, focusing on partnership development within the financial, ISP, and retail sectors, and presenting to prestigious organizations regarding cyber threats and best practices. Derek's career began at the Metropolitan Police from July 1998 to July 2013 as a Detective Constable, specializing in serious electronic crime investigations, including large-scale fraud and computer hacking. Derek holds a Master of Science in Forensic Computing and Cybercrime Investigation from University College Dublin, earned between 2014 and 2016.
