John Verdeschi

John Verdeschi is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the payments and telecommunications industries, currently serving as Senior Vice President of Customer Engagement and Performance at Mastercard since June 2007. In this role, John leads global initiatives to enhance the payments ecosystem through strategic programs and standards. Previous positions at Mastercard include Senior Business Leader in Mobile POS Product Development and Standards and Sales, where John managed revenue growth and represented Mastercard on the PCI Security Standards Council. John initially developed and launched the PCI Data Security Standard as Vice President of Emerging Technologies at Mastercard, contributing to foundational standards in the industry. Prior experience also includes product management roles at Sprint, IBM, MCI Telecommunications, and LORAL Space & Communications, complemented by an MBA from Fordham Gabelli School of Business and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan University.
