Joseph Sweeney

Joseph Sweeney is an experienced professional with a diverse background in finance, data protection, and marketing. Currently serving as a Director at Mastercard since April 2019, Joseph has previously held several roles within the company, including Manager, Senior Analyst, and Associate Analyst. Prior to Mastercard, Joseph worked as a European Commission Blue Book Trainee at the European Data Protection Supervisor and held the position of Marketing Manager and Head of Community Relations at Nearcut. Joseph's early career includes internships at blogfoster GmbH and Semper by UnlockYourBrain GmbH, as well as various work placements at WHSmith, Parklane Plowden Chambers, the House of Commons, and BHP Law. Joseph earned a Master of Arts degree in German and History from The University of Edinburgh and has also studied at Freie Universität Berlin.
