Julian Phillips is a seasoned payments professional with extensive experience in credit, debit, and prepaid card issuance, as well as merchant acquiring and online technologies. Julian has held leadership roles at institutions like Commercial Bank of Qatar and National Bank Oman, where they spearheaded initiatives in mobile commerce and cards payments. Currently semi-retired, Julian continues to influence the payments ecosystem with a focus on mobile banking and contactless payments, while maintaining a position as VP of Acceptance & Commercial Development at MasterCard. They hold a diploma in management from the University of Leicester, obtained between 1986 and 1988.
