EVP, Artificial Intelligence at Mastercard

Rohit Chauhan is the EVP of Artificial Intelligence at Mastercard. Prior to this, they were the Administrative Vice President and Risk Manager for the Retail Bank at M&T Bank. There, they optimized the risk of Consumer Lending Portfolios to maximize portfolio profitability of over $10B of secured and unsecured loans. Rohit also provided strategic direction for the development of analytical and data infrastructure to improve accuracy, efficiency, and profitability. Chauhan led and developed analytical and MIS staff to support Product, Credit Underwriting, Servicing, and Collections groups.

Responsibilities included charge-off and fraud forecasting and tracking, risk-based pricing, advancement of modeling techniques (Basel II Advance Approach), development of custom origination and behavior scorecards, automated credit approval programs, refinement of credit underwriting policies, execution of marketing campaigns for account acquisition, activation, cross-sell, and customer retention programs. Represented the bank for OCC and State examinations and audits.

Rohit Chauhan received their Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Rani Durgavati University of Jabalpur in MP, India. Rohit then pursued their MS in Computer Science at the University at Buffalo. Rohit completed their MBA with a focus in Finance and Marketing also from the University at Buffalo.
