Susan Thompson

Susan Thompson is now retired, having concluded a distinguished career in technology and cryptography. They served as a Senior Consultant at DataCard Platform 7 from 1995 to 2003, where they developed simulation models and tools for side channel analysis of smartcard algorithms. In addition, they held positions as a Business Leader and Product Leader at MasterCard since 2012, focusing on payment system integrity and PIN security. Their earlier experience includes managing system security at Plessey Crypto and conducting side channel analysis as a Senior Analyst at TNO. Susan earned a PhD in Approximation Theory and a BSc in Mathematics from Lancaster University.
