Cassandra Johnson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Cassandra began their career as an Education Outreach Intern at the Washington State Holocaust Education Resource Center in 2009. In 2010, they were a Research Assistant at Seattle University's Center for Strategic Communications, focusing on family homelessness. Cassandra also worked as a Public Relations Intern at GMMB, where they tracked legislation and created news briefs for organizations such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
In 2010, Cassandra became the Development Director at Habitat for Humanity of East Jefferson County, where they built relationships with donors and volunteers, raised funds, and marketed the organization.
Their most recent role was at Masterworks, where they started as a Senior Account Executive in 2014. Cassandra collaborated with nonprofit clients to develop data-driven marketing and fundraising campaigns and managed multi-channel strategies. Cassandra then became the Director of Planning & Process, implementing product design and analytics to streamline agency services. Currently, Cassandra holds the position of Vice President of Data, where they oversee the development of machine learning tools for in-market sales.
Cassandra Johnson holds a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Washington, which they obtained from 2013 to 2014. Prior to this, they attended Seattle University from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a BA degree. Their major was Strategic Communications and Public Affairs, and they also pursued a minor in Philosophy & Nonprofit Leadership.
