Eugen Rochko

Eugen Rochko is a seasoned software developer and entrepreneur with a strong background in computer science, earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Friedrich Schiller University Jena. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Mastodon since August 2016, Eugen has led the development of a decentralized social media platform as a non-profit initiative. Prior roles include Research Consultant for the Horizon 2020 project Eunomia, focusing on misinformation combat on social media, and various software development positions at companies such as axxur GmbH and Pongathon, where Eugen contributed to business-to-business SaaS platforms and event websites. Previous entrepreneurial experience includes founding Artists&Clients, an online marketplace for art commissions.
