Layla Gibbon

Layla Gibbon is an experienced professional in the music and publishing industries, currently working in sales at Matador Records since July 2021. Previously, Layla held the position of Editor at Maximum Rocknroll from January 2019 to 2020 and served as a Business Owner at Other Avenues Natural Food Cooperative from October 2015 to July 2019. Additional experience includes roles as a Bookseller at City Lights Books, where responsibilities included managing online content and podcast editing, as well as extensive editorial leadership at Maximum Rocknroll as Editor in Chief from May 2008 to August 2012. Layla's early career involved sales and management positions at various bookstores and organizations, including a stint as an Administrative Assistant at New Line Cinema. Layla holds a BAhons degree in Cultural and Historical Studies from the University of Brighton, obtained in 1999.
