Jo Murphy is a seasoned design professional with extensive experience in the fashion industry. Currently serving as Head of Design at Matalan since February 2024, Jo previously held similar leadership roles at Primark, where tenure spanned from October 2015 to February 2024, and at Marks and Spencer from July 2010 to July 2015. Jo's career began at Reebok International Ltd. in 1998, followed by positions as a Ladieswear Designer at Nikita Clothing Ltd. and Senior Designer roles at Arcadia Group Ltd. and Next. Notably, Jo played a key role in the successful relaunch of the leading teen brand Tammy while at Arcadia. Jo holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fashion/Apparel Design from the University of Lancashire, earned between 1995 and 1999.
