Travis Hammond, PE

Travis Hammond, PE, has a wealth of work experience in the engineering field. Travis is currently serving as the Manager of Distribution Engineering at Matanuska Electric Association, Inc. since August 2021. Prior to this, Travis worked at TDX Power from 2015 to 2022, holding positions such as Utility Operations Manager and Project Engineer Lead. At TDX Power, they managed utility and R&D projects, specializing in renewable integration into islanded power systems. Before joining TDX Power, Travis worked at Marsh Creek LLC as a Power Engineer from 2010 to 2015, where they designed and implemented engineering designs for power generation and renewable energy projects in Alaska. Travis'scareer began at SEL in 2004, where they served as an Electronics Engineer, designing board level circuits for SEL products and leading teams on new product designs and implementation.

Travis Hammond, PE, has a strong education background in various fields. Travis obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Washington State University, which they completed between 2000 and 2005. Prior to that, they also earned another Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Geology/Earth Science, General from the same university, which they completed from 1996 to 2000. In addition to their degrees, Travis holds a Professional Engineering License in Power, which they obtained from the NCEES in June 2016.
