Rune Skovsgaard

Rune Skovsgaard has extensive work experience in various IT leadership roles. Rune has worked as the Head of IT Transformation at Matas A/S since 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Head of IT at Scandlines from 2022 to 2023, and at Flügger Group A/S from 2018 to 2022. Rune was also the Head of Business Applications at Coop Danmark from 2016 to 2018, where they managed a team of 50 internal and approximately 120 external consultants. Before that, they held the position of Head of IT Architecture & Projects at DSB from 2013 to 2016. Rune also served as the CIO at Lidl Danmark from 2011 to 2013 and as a Senior Enterprise Architect at Vestas Wind Systems from 2010 to 2011. Rune Skovsgaard started their career as an SAP PP Consultant at EDB Gruppen in 1995 and held various roles there until 2000.

Rune Skovsgaard has a diverse education history. Rune began their academic journey in 1986 at Aarhus Tekniske Skole, where they obtained their HTX degree. Following this, Rune attended CF-korpsets befalingsmandskole from 1988 to 1989 and earned the rank of Sergeant. In 1990, they enrolled at Aalborg University and completed their Master of Science degree in Industrial Management / Virksomhedssystemer in 1995. Rune also received military training at CF-korpsets befalingsmandskole in 1990, where they obtained the rank of Officer. Additionally, in 1993 and 1994, they pursued HD 1.part at Aalborg University. Finally, from 1995 to 1997, Rune attended Handels- og Ingeniørhøjskolen i Herning, specializing in Sales & Marketing and graduating with an HD-A degree.
