Walter Kim

Walter Kim has over 12 years of experience in the engineering field. In 2018, they were the Director of Engineering at Material Security and an Engineer at the Stanford Computational Policy Lab. From 2014-2018, they were an Engineering Manager and Tech Lead at Dropbox. From 2013-2014, they were a Senior Member Technical Staff at PARC, a Software Engineer at Microsoft Research, and a Software Engineer and Frontend Lead at Ayasdi Inc. In 2011, they were a Lead Robotics Engineer at Tellart, Senior Lecturer in the Architecture Department at California College of the Arts, and a Robotics Engineer and Tech Lead at Bot & Dolly / Autofuss (acquired by Google). In 2007, they were a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at the University of California, Irvine.

Walter Kim received a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Chicago in 2000, after attending from 1996-2000. Walter then went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Mathematics at the University of California, Berkeley, which they completed in 2006.
