James Kluskens has a diverse work experience in the field of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and IT systems administration. James started their career as a Technical Support Representative at Greatland Corporation in 2005. From there, they worked at Brensten Education, where they held multiple roles, including Manager of Instructional Development and Lead Technical Instructor of Windows Systems Administration.

In 2013, James became a Systems Administrator at River Run Computers, providing IT systems consulting services to various small business clients. James then moved on to Kforce Inc as an Identity & Access Management Engineer in 2015, and later joined Johnson Controls as the Team Lead, Global Infrastructure Identity & Access Management in 2017.

In 2019, James joined Affinity, Inc. as an MS Architect, focusing on Microsoft Identity Management and working as an identity consultant for Oshkosh Corporation. James was responsible for projects involving Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solution deployment and Identity Lifecycle Management (ILM) improvement plans.

James then transitioned to Northwestern Mutual in 2020, where they served as a Lead IAM Engineer - Directory Services. In this role, they were responsible for managing directory services and played a key role in IAM-related projects. Currently, they hold the position of Lead IAM Engineer at Materion Corporation, starting in 2023.

James Kluskens received their education in the field of network and system administration. In 2001, they attended Bay de Noc Community College where they pursued general studies. In 2005, they completed a Certificate of Completion in Network and System Administration/Administrator from PC Productivity Schools. Later in 2014, they obtained another Certificate of Achievement in the same field from New Horizons Computer Learning Center. Alongside their education, James also obtained several certifications from Microsoft. These include MCSE1: Windows Server 2003 and MCSA1: Windows Server 2003 in 2007 and 2006 respectively. James also acquired various certifications related to Windows operating systems, server administration, and enterprise support technician from 2009 to 2015. In addition, they became a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) in 2010.
