Qi Zhang

Qi Zhang is an experienced professional in technology and engineering, currently serving as the Director of Technology and Engineering at Materion Corporation since November 2021, after holding positions as Manager of Technology & Innovation and Senior R&D and Application Engineer. Prior experience includes a role as Senior R&D Engineer at H.C. Starck Solutions from 2018 to January 2021, where work focused on Nb Alloy development, recycling programs, and additive manufacturing for the semiconductor industry. Qi Zhang contributed over a decade at H.C. Starck, specializing in thin film research with expertise in PVD processes for various applications, including flat panel displays and solar technology. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Biomedical Materials Science and Engineering from Alfred University and a Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Zhejiang University.
