Mark Juravic has over 20 years of experience in the medical device industry. Mark began their career in 1999 as an Associate Researcher at Good Samaritan Medical Center and Phoenix VA. In 2000, they became a Teacher's Assistant for Physics at UC San Diego. In 2001, they were a Graduate Research Associate at Advanced Tissue Sciences. From 2002 to 2006, they worked as an R&D Engineer at GUIDANT LLC C/O BOSTON SCIENTIFIC CORPORATION. From 2006 to 2012, they were a Research Engineer and Project Lead at MAQUET Cardiovascular (Guidant Corp), Cardiac Surgery. In 2012, they became an R&D, Clinical, and Marketing Consultant at Pelvalon. From 2013 to 2010, they were the Vice President of Research and Development at Puracath Medical. In 2010, they founded Materna Medical, a medical device company delivering solutions to unmet clinical needs in women's health. As the CEO, President, and Board Member of Materna Medical, they raised $4.3M in private financing over 3 rounds of funding and was awarded $2.2M in non-dilutive grant funding from the NIH. In 2020, they became the VP of R&D at Starlight Cardiovascular.

Mark Juravic completed a Biodesign Innovation Course at Stanford University in 2007. Mark then earned a M Eng in Bioengineering from UC San Diego in 2002. Prior to that, they completed a BSE in Bioengineering from Arizona State University in 1999.
