Materra
Edward Hill has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Edward started their career as a Materials Consultant at Concrete Canvas Ltd in 2014. In 2016, they co-founded Friche, where they worked until 2017. During this time, they also worked as an Insect Farmer at ENTOCYCLE from 2017 to 2018. In 2017, they joined Green Lab as a Plant / Design Researcher and The Urban Researcher as a Nature-Centred Design from 2017 to 2018. Hill also worked at DryGro as a Plant Scientist from 2018 to 2018. In 2019, they joined Chip[s] Board LTD as a Materials Scientist, working there until 2019. Most recently, they worked at Materra, starting as the Chief Technology Officer from 2018 to 2020, and currently serving as the Chief Science Officer since 2020.
Edward Hill has a strong educational background in engineering and design. Edward earned their Bachelor's degree in Materials Science from Imperial College London, where they attended from 2009 to 2013. Following that, they pursued further studies and completed their Master's degree in Engineering Design at Imperial College London from 2013 to 2015. During the same period, Edward also pursued a Master's degree in Innovation Design at the Royal College of Art.
