Jignesh Bhalala

Jignesh Bhalala has extensive work experience in various organizations, starting with their current position as the Head of Operations at Materra, where they have been since June 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Operations Lead at Materra from March 2021 to August 2022.

Before joining Materra, Jignesh worked at Synergy Technofin Private Limited as a Senior Consultant - Rural Livelihood from August 2020 to March 2021.

In 2018, Jignesh worked at Reach to Teach, where they held the positions of Project Manager from January 2019 to July 2019 and Manager - Field Operation from October 2018 to December 2018. In these roles, they managed the operation of Education and Community Programs, successfully implementing mid-course correction programs, streamlining operations, and building strong relationships with education departments.

From 2013 to 2018, Jignesh worked at Gram Vikas Trust, where they held multiple roles including Project Coordinator from April 2016 to September 2018, Field Officer from May 2015 to March 2016, and Project Head from June 2013 to April 2015. In these roles, they led and managed teams, planned and reviewed project activities, liaised with government departments, and ensured high-quality project implementation.

Jignesh also gained internship experience at Rangoonwala Foundation India Trust from July 2012 to March 2013 and The Akanksha Foundation from July 2011 to March 2012.

Jignesh Bhalala's education history begins with their enrollment at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) from 2000 to 2007, where they obtained their HSC degree in Arts. After completing their high school education, Jignesh attended The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda from 2008 to 2010 and earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics.

In 2010, Jignesh pursued a Diploma in Criminology and Correctional Management from the same institution. Later, from 2011 to 2013, they attended the University of Mumbai to complete their MSW degree in Social Work.

Continuing their educational journey, Jignesh obtained a PG Diploma in HR & Administration from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences between 2016 and 2018. Finally, in 2019, they joined the Indian School of Public Policy (ISPP) and completed a degree in Policy Design and Management, focusing on Public Policy during their enrollment year in 2020.

In terms of additional certifications, Jignesh acquired Excel Skills for Business: Intermediate I from Coursera in May 2020. Jignesh also obtained certification in Project Management: The Basics for Success from the same institution in the same month and year.
