Andrea K.

Master Teacher Fellow at Math for America

Andrea K. is an experienced educator currently serving as the Math department co-chair at Urban Academy Laboratory High School since August 2012, where inquiry-based learning and special education support services are central to the approach. In addition to this role, Andrea has been a Master Teacher Fellow with Math for America since August 2017, focusing on collaborative professional development related to equity and student-centered pedagogy. Licensed as both a Mathematics and Special Education Teacher with the NYC Department of Education since August 2011, Andrea has also contributed as a curriculum consultant for Expii and has extensive experience coaching varsity basketball at various educational institutions.
