Anna Bute

Anna "AJ" Bute is an experienced educator currently serving as a Master Teacher Fellow at Math for America since August 2023 and as a High School Science Teacher at Comp Sci High since January 2022. Previously, Anna held multiple roles at Valence College Prep, including Director of Talent Acquisition, Founding Director of Operations, and Interim Operations Manager from June 2019 to December 2021. Anna's career began with the Early Career Teacher Fellowship at Math for America, complemented by a Chemistry Teacher position at the Academy for Software Engineering from August 2017 to August 2019. Research experience includes a fellowship at Columbia University for a summer research program. Anna's teaching experience also includes secondary science education in the NYC Department of Education and participation in Teach For America. Anna holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Science in Aquatic and Fishery Science from the University of Washington.
