Math for America
Jacob Leibold is a seasoned educator with extensive experience in mathematics and special education. Since August 2011, Jacob has served as a Math and Special Education Teacher for the NYC Department of Education, teaching grades 6-8 in Manhattan and grades 9-12 in the Bronx and Queens. Additionally, Jacob has contributed as a Master Teacher at Math for America since 2010, continually advancing through various leadership roles. Experience also includes facilitating professional development sessions at the Institute for Advanced Study - Park City Math Institute from 2018 to 2020 and a previous position as a Sourcing Specialist at Target from 2008 to 2010. Jacob holds a Master of Science in Special Education from Lehman College, a Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Mathematics from Bard College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Economics from St. Olaf College.
