JoEllen Schuleman is a seasoned educator with extensive experience in science education and curriculum development. Currently serving as a Science Specialist at the NYC Department of Education since September 2003, JoEllen teaches grades 2-5 and has a strong focus on hands-on inquiry-based learning and collaboration with classroom teachers. JoEllen also holds roles as a Thought Partner and Curriculum Consultant at Killer Snails LLC and as a Master Teacher Fellow at Math for America. Additionally, JoEllen offers private tutoring in ELA, Math, and Science while having co-founded Rootprint NY LLC, an educational consultancy that operated until May 2022. JoEllen's foundational experience includes teaching in the Houston Independent School District and roles in marketing and promotions, along with a background in government from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Houston.
