Math for America
Naina Abowd currently serves as the Assistant Director of Professional Learning and previously held the position of Senior Manager of Curriculum and Teaching at the American Museum of Natural History since July 2017. Abowd is also active as Adjunct Faculty at Bank Street College of Education and as an Early Career and Master Teacher Candidate Screener for Math for America, where responsibilities include evaluating K-12 science teachers and providing feedback during the admissions process. Prior experience includes teaching as the Living Environment Teacher and Head of the Science Department at the Urban Assembly School for Green Careers and serving as a Student Teacher at New Design High School. Naina Abowd is pursuing a Doctor of Education at Teachers College, Columbia University, with additional advanced degrees in Science Teacher Education from New York University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Cornell University.
