Simone Kuranishi

Simone Kuranishi is an experienced educator currently serving as a Dance and Wellness Teacher, Musical Choreographer, and Substitute Teacher at North Shore School District since April 2017. Kuranishi has also worked as an Educational Consultant for Math for America since May 2019 and has held administrative intern roles at North Shore High School and Kings Park Central School District. In previous positions with the NYC Department of Education, Kuranishi served as Dean of Discipline, Arts Education Liaison, and Dance and Yoga Educator, while earlier experience included a role as Teaching Artist specializing in ballroom and Latin dance. Kuranishi holds multiple degrees and certifications from Hofstra University and John Jay College, including a Master of Science in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies and an Advanced Certificate in Educational Leadership.
