Joe Thomas

Joe Thomas is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in addiction counseling and recovery management. Currently serving as a Project Manager at Mathers Recovery since February 2023, Joe oversees CADC staff, conducts intake assessments per ASAM criteria, and develops treatment plans. Prior experience includes roles as a Treatment Coordinator at SunCloud Health, where Joe facilitated individual and group therapy focusing on integrated care for patients facing various disorders. As a Supervisor and Substance Use Counselor at A Safe Haven Foundation and Healthcare Alternative Systems, Joe conducted assessments, managed caseloads, and coordinated care with external providers. With a background that began at San Jose Obrero Mission as a Case Manager, Joe demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of client needs in recovery settings. Education includes a Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor degree from Governors State University.
