MacKenzie Gross has had a varied and extensive work experience. From 2004 to 2018, they have held positions at Kmart Corporation, The Ohio State University, Lima City Schools, Nationwide Bank, and Kitami City Schools. At Kmart Corporation, they were a Service Desk Employee, responsible for scheduling breaks, closing down cash registers each night, answering phones, handling customer complaints and returns, securing funds in the safe, and closing the store. At The Ohio State University, they were a Student Instructional Assistant, teaching biweekly recitations, proctoring midterms and the final exam, and grading homework assignments, quizzes, and exams. MacKenzie was also a Computer Lab Supervisor, providing technical assistance and customer service to computer users across campus both over the phone and in person, utilizing basic knowledge of computer maintenance and online research to find solutions for any computer issue a user was experiencing, and supervising the other employees in the computer lab. MacKenzie Gross obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Pure Mathematics from The Ohio State University between 2007 and 2011. MacKenzie then obtained a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Mathematics Teacher Education from John Carroll University between 2011 and 2012. In 2015, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Natural Resources Management and Policy from the University of Denver. In December 2021, they obtained a Project Management Principles and Practices Specialization from Coursera.
