Drew Halberstadt

Drew Halberstadt is an accomplished professional in the field of speech recognition and machine learning, currently serving as the Machine Learning Apps Manager at MathWorks since March 2021. Prior experience includes significant roles at Nuance Communications from December 2005 to November 2020, where Drew held positions such as Director of Corporate Research and Research Program Manager, successfully coordinating software and models for Enterprise SpeechSuite products and leading a team that optimized acoustic models for speech recognition accuracy across numerous languages. Previously, Drew was the Director of Network ASR Core Technology at ScanSoft, overseeing the enterprise telephony speech recognizer, and held various positions at SpeechWorks International, contributing to solutions for telephony speech recognition.
