Jorge Alberto Calvo

Jorge Alberto Calvo is a seasoned professional in mathematics and technical communication with a robust background in academia and industry. Currently serving as Documentation Manager at MathWorks since June 2017, Jorge leads a team focused on creating comprehensive documentation for model validation and testing solutions. Previous roles at MathWorks include Principal Technical Writer and Senior Team Lead, where Jorge developed tutorials addressing deep learning and embedded system design and contributed to product planning and design reviews. Prior to MathWorks, Jorge held multiple positions at Ave Maria University, including Mathematics Department Chairman and Associate Professor of Mathematics, overseeing departmental operations and teaching a wide range of mathematics courses while authoring dedicated textbooks. Additional experience includes a consultancy role at Analog Devices, Inc. and various academic positions at North Dakota State University and Williams College.
