Manavendra Desai

Manavendra Desai is a Robotics Education Programs Engineer at MathWorks, where they focus on exploration, education, and technology evangelism in robotics. Previously, Manavendra served as a research intern at Toyota Research Institute, developing controllers for safety-critical vehicle dynamics, and at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, where they enhanced control methods for hybrid power systems. Manavendra's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor’s degree from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, complemented by diverse research experiences in safety-critical autonomous systems. Additionally, Manavendra led the Wayne State Robotics Club during their time as a Graduate Research Assistant.
