Shafaq Presswala

Shafaq Presswala has over 20 years of work experience. Shafaq began their career in 2000 as a Research Associate II/Supervisor at The Henry M. Jackson Foundation. In 2001, they moved to the National Cancer Institute/SAIC as a Research Associate. From 2005 to 2008, they worked at the University of Michigan-Cancer Epidemiology as a Lab Manager/Research Specialist. Shafaq then moved to Merck & Co. Inc (MSD) as a Methods Developer until 2015. Shafaq then became an EMT-B at ProTransport-1 until 2017. In 2018, they joined Fountainhead Advisors as a Financial Strategist, providing customized Financial Life Planning solutions and strategic advice on products and services. Most recently, they have been an Operations Lead at Matician since 2020.

Shafaq Presswala obtained a Master's Degree in Biotechnology & Bioinformatics from The Johns Hopkins University between 2002-2004. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County between 1995-1999. Shafaq also holds certifications from the American Heart Association, California Department of Insurance, Foothill-De Anza Community College District, FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority), and National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician Certification.
